ReUnion FAQs
How are your stories impacting your life?
Every aspect of how our lives occur for us, from relationships and work to our personal growth and happiness, are impacted by the unconscious conditioning of the body, mind, and spirit.
Our sessions focus on an area of concern relevant to your life; often something that seems ‘stuck’ and is a source of worry, pain, or anxiety.
I take what’s messy, or feels “ugly” or “shameful”, and anxiety-inducing and shine a light on it with gentleness, a sense of humor, respect and compassion. This work can ultimately create a shift that results in natural and authentic clarity, empowerment, and peace of mind.
What is the ReUnion Process?
The ReUnion Process is an effective technique to discern the “truth” that resides in the body, both inherited and learned.
Through the use of muscle testing, acupressure, energetic bodywork and guided imagery, we have a ‘conversation’ with the body without the mind getting in the way.
Developed by Peter Scupham of Dunwoody, Georgia, ReUnion Process Facilitation is built upon the kinesiology work of Alan Beardall and George Goodhart. Much like Beardall, ReUnion uses a combination of resonance testing, hand mudras and a system of files to direct our attention to, and to facilitate the resolution of, what most needs healing in our lives.
Reunion helps individuals release challenges, dysfunctional family patterns (that we perceive as “truths”) and barriers to joy, freedom, health and prosperity.
This process enables clarity on the hidden forces that impact why you do what you do, allowing you to have compassion for what we sometimes perceive as shortcomings within ourselves and others.
The patterns are exposed, along with their origins (ancestor, other life, etc.). The events, blocks and scars that have created the patterns are then released through facilitations.
Gone untouched, these beliefs create patterns and ‘knee jerk’ reactions to circumstances in our lives and relationships, or sometimes as tightness, pain, and exhaustion in the body.
Through the session, the unresolved feelings, trauma, beliefs are acknowledged, accepted and shifted on the cellular and energetic levels. Each session ends with some EFT tapping to help integrate.
What does this do for you? It allows more clarity and lightness, showing up in ways such as clearer perception, synchronicity, self worth, and more harmony in your life. Your inner world re-calibrates and then your outer world follows (as within, so without).
What to expect in a session?
Sessions focus on an area of concern relevant to the client’s life; often something that seems ‘stuck’ and is a source of worry, pain, or anxiety.
All sessions begin with a brief conversation about what is currently present in your life.
The facilitation begins with a guided visualization, and clients often experience relaxing into a meditative state. During the session, you may be guided in a variety of facilitations ranging from acupressure, essential oils or guided visualizations.
As the process unfolds, you begin to get clarity on the hidden forces that impact why you do what you do, allowing you to have compassion for what we sometimes perceive as shortcomings within ourselves and others.
The combination of the energetic unwinding facilitated within the body and the information gained about unconscious mechanisms revealed by a session often provides deeper understanding of the self, and encourages a curiosity about how we move in the world.
This exploration, in time, develops and strengthens a deeper inner listening and fosters profound self-awareness.
A session typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes, and is closed with a visualization / meditation that deepens the experience and supports the body in its natural wisdom and ability to heal.
Sessions can be done in person, by zoom, or remotely done with session notes emailed to the recipient upon completion. Plan on a 90-minute appointment for your first ReUnion Session!
Why notice what is different after the session?
Noticing means that you are actively involved in noticing WHAT you notice. Don’t pass judgment on what you’re noticing (even if it’s an ache or difficult behavior from someone). You simply register: I’m noticing my arm is sore…. I’m noticing that the people I’m meeting today all seem short-tempered. I’m noticing I woke up rested…. I’m noticing how helpful every one is today.
Don’t try to connect your observations to your past: I woke up rested…must have been the herbal tea I drank before going to bed… Everyone is so helpful today, must be the weather. SIMPLY NOTICE you woke up rested – people are helpful.
Long term affects of noticing:
1 You expand your awareness by training your brain to allow certain data in that had previously been censored.
2 You expand your own body intelligence. Your body ‘knows’ what it needs to be healthy, contented, useful. Most of the time, we let the brain tell us what it is trained to think the body needs (I need a cup of coffee -now!). Whereas the body may be saying, it needs downtime in order to balance. Body signals can go unnoticed because we’re not noticing what’s different.
3 The combination of the energy unwinding within the body and the information gained during a session often provides deeper understanding.
4 Often, relationships with significant others, family, co-workers, and friends begin to shift. Doors in life that we were never able to see before become wide open for us, allowing a more authentic expression of who we are and the unfolding of a life more aligned.
When you notice something, you are capturing a ‘dot’ of light and information. the part of you which set the intention to ‘notice what’s different ‘ is keeping track of each ‘dot’. the dots start to connect and you experience “a-ha” moments more often, as you begin to see what has always been available to you, but indiscernible, until now, due to the brain’s censoring mechanism.
