The more you set intentions for your day, the more you begin to accept that it’s possible to do so, which hopefully will give you the incentive to do it the next day and the next and the next…

Ask yourself what you have done (past or present) that renews and energizes you. Is there something you do that causes you to lose all track of time and your energy level never drains while you’re doing it?
When you pursue what you are passionate about, you start to feel more connected to yourself and to your dreams.
What are your talents and skills?
Search for something that you can put your unique imprint on. You may have a gift for party planning, working with computers or even construction.

Express your gratitude daily
Tell the people around you that you appreciate them. Give thanks for the food you eat and the roof that you sleep under. Smile.
Gratitude magnifies your feelings of goodwill, helping you stay focused on the good stuff.

Enjoy Nature

Explore nature. Exercise. Go for a walk.
Getting your steps in, even for just 20 minutes a day, has been shown to improve your mood & boost your health. Try a yoga class, walk more, ride your bike, or go for a swim. Get in extra walking time by:
– Pacing while on the phone.
– Taking a walk after dinner.
– Parking farther from the entrance to a store.

Mindful Meditation
Step 6:
Meditate every morning.
Spending time in silence reconnects you with your source of self-awareness, self-assuredness & happiness. It’s also been shown to greatly reduce stress & improve communication.
If you find you just can’t meditate, find other avenues to quiet the mind … like Qigong or Mandala making.
Small steps are what it takes. Taking small steps or having intentions for small breakthroughs will focus your energy in the right direction. And when you have small successes, it raises your energy and increases your confidence.
When faced with something new...let every step be your first step.
Focus only on the path (that one step) right before your feet (don't think about the tasks or struggles before you). One simple step is totally doable!
Making changes or taking a new direction can sometimes seem frightening. Why? Because our brains love repetition and routine.
All it takes is one step to lay the foundation for a new pattern. One more step and a new pattern is forming.
