Changes….
I seem to be in a space of being asked to look at everything differently. Everything I thought I knew is not gone, it’s just changing – quite rapidly – into a new and deeper understanding. Joy, Laughter, Love, Peace, Friendship – they are all taking on new meanings.
My life this past 12 months has felt much like a butterfly. Butterflies begin their amazing journey as caterpillars, then they cocoon (the chrysalis stage), and then they emerge as butterflies.
The pupa, or chrysalis, is what the caterpillar is called while it is changing into a butterfly. Once inside this protective space, the pupa, or chrysalis forms and inside amazing changes occur. This is what the end of 2011 and all of 2012 has felt like for me.
Butterflies have always held a special place in my heart and it now feels like I am moving from the caterpillar to the butterfly.
What a wonderful thing!
If I really stop to think about it though…maybe we never stop moving from the caterpillar to the butterfly – maybe we just do it in stages.
If I think about it even more…
maybe we are a caterpillar in our Learning about Love and Joy …
… and a butterfly in our Expressing Love and Joy.
A caterpillar in learning to open our hearts … and a butterfly in living from our hearts – in joy and laughter and love.
May your journey to the butterfly be full of joy, laughter and love.
